College/Degree:Colorado State University/Computer Science BS
Occupation/Employer:Software Design Engineer in Test/Microsoft
Thoughts and Experiences
What have you been up to in the last ten years?
I spent 5 years at Colorado State University studying computer science.  During that time I was doing work study at the campus computer lab, taking tap lessons, learning to ride horses and understanding what living on my own met.
In my last year of college I was offered an internship at Microsoft in the Macintosh Office division.  There I learned that MS isn't an evil empire afterall but a really fun place to work with highly intelligent, uber competitive and hard working people.  I joined Microsoft full time after I graduated college.  I worked as a tester for FrontPage for 4 years, a tester for InfoPath 1 year and now I am on an internal tools team.
For fun I like to play in the Woodinville Community Band.  It is in this band that I met my husband.  He plays tuba; I play clarinet.  Since then we have also joined a jazz band.

Most memorable moment from high school:

Doing the wave during graduation.
Hobbies/Travels:
In the Spring of 1996 I took a 100 day voyage around the world in the Semester at Sea program.  Ports of call included Venezuela, Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, India, Vietnam, Phillipines, Hong Kong and Japan.
Lately I have picked up the hobby of Geocaching.  All over the world people are hiding tupperware full of treasue and noting the latitude and longitude.  With a GPS you can go out and find the treasure.  Treasure includes all sorts of trinkets like key chains, pez dispensers, bouncy balls, cards etc.  When you find a treasure you are supposed to trade an item for an item you brought along.  The best part of geocaching is finding places you haven't been.
Plans for the next 10 years:
Right now I am in the Computer Science Master degree program at the University of Washington. I should have my degree in the spring of 2005.

Got married in June 2002 after Susan and I had lived together for 5 years and bought a house in Montrose 3 years ago. Life is good!

College/Degree:
Occupation/Employer:Financial Advisor, Insurance Administrator, Genesee Dental Group
Thoughts and Experiences
What have you been up to in the last ten years?I reunited with James Findlater aka James Daniher, a friend since 8th grade. A few dates led to the perfect romance, and we got married 7/6/96. We bought a modular home in Golden, where we have our two dogs, two cats, and my dream Bronco. We are currently working towards full custody of our 10 year old daughter, Kara, and are discussing having another child. I have been in the dental field since taking dental assisting at Warren Tech my senior year, but have worked my way from the back of the office, to the front. We have spent the last few years bringing my husband's family ties together. He did not know his real dad, or that he had his real dad's name until he turned 17, and received his social security card. Two years ago, a sister he never knew he had, had contacted him, and helped him get in touch with his father, who lives in Virginia. We flew out to meet his father, and step mother on Septmeber 23, 2001. Shortly after that, his daghter came in to our lives at full blast, and we have been blessed ever since. All in all, I have been up to nothing more then a happy life, with ups and downs, that no matter what, leave smiles on our faces in the end.
Favorite high school teacher? Why?
Mr. Warmack! He may be have been tuff on the inside, but I know he was really a softy on the inside. He made me want to show him that I knew Colorado History, and better then he thought any one could. Besides, I was lucky. He was a patient at the first dental office I worked at! Now who gets the chance to work on the mouth of a teacher, especially one who always threatened with cattle prods?

Most memorable moment from high school:

Know this one is tough! I remember many things, and there are many things that I know I should remember, but don't. I would have to say that if anything stuck out the most, it would be the day August 29, 1989. This day came only weeks after I was "lost" in the woods, and was found "hugging a tree." This was the first day of school, and after an entire day of jokes concerning my ability to find my way around the school, My brother and I got into a car accident. I ended up getting 44 stitches in my forehead, and missing the next couple days of school. Not two months later, I was running to get from the music floor to Mrs. Naylor's room, using the outside stairs, when I slipped on ice, and took the fast way down, with the help of gravity.
Hobbies/Travels:
James and I love to camp, and go jeepin' in the Colorado back country. I also started a different kind of hobby. My favorite automobile in the world is the old Ford Bronco. I couldn't afford one myself right away, so I started taking pictures of other people's instead. I have collected over 300 different photos of various Ford Broncos, including a beautiful red one in Hawaii. I have contributed some pictures, a poem, and a 4 page article / layout, for Bronco Driver Magazine. Jim and I have gone to Ohau and Maui in Hawaii. We have been to Virginia Beach, Virginia. We drove to South Dakota once. And, our number one favorite, was Washington DC. I have never as proud to be an American, or in such awe, then the day we were in Washington DC. We drove by the Pentigon, less then two weeks after 9/11. That, alone, is a sight that I will never forget. To see The Wall, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Memorial, the Supreme Court, and the many other sights in Washington DC, is more than enough to give the American Spirit to the saddest soul. We left that city standing taller, and fealing prouder, then we have ever felt before.
Awards/accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishment is finding the perfect husband, and waking up every morning with love in my life. One of the next on my list would be getting a Bronco just for fun. No staying up late at night working by flashlight, in freezing tempatures, trying to get the Bronco going so I have a ride to work the next day. - We have a Bronco that just sits there, waiting for fun 4-wheeling, and nothing else!
Plans for the next 10 years:
I would like to expand my family. We have Kara, and James and I would like at least one more child. Oh, and maybe one more Bronco.
Words of wisdom for the class of 1993:Roses are Red, and Violets are Blue. Nothing is more important, then little - old - you! So wake up everyday, with a goal to have fun. Because thats what will matter, when your time has come. Just make yourself happy and always be glad. Try not to be angry, try not to be sad. For this I tell you, is the way it should be. These words of wisdom, for the class of 93.

Thoughts and Experiences
What have you been up to in the last ten years? The last 10 years have been just like any other.. There were good times and bad times, there were ups and downs. I've traveled the world far and near. The one thing I've learned is no amount of power, wealth or success can ever compare to family or friendship. You may be rich or poor, you may pretty or ugly.. neither makes a difference to me... they say when you die you take nothing with you.. that is a lie.. you take your integrity, for at the end of the day that is all you have. I've learned and done a llot in the last 10 years I can't wait for next 40.
Favorite high school teacher? Why?
hmmm, not really sure...Maybe Mr. Darell (spelling) I missed Earth Science with Cory Marine like some 53 times.. he said he was going to flunk me....and he did.... he was a man or his word :)

Most memorable moment from high school:

Memorable.. there were many good times... However, when I think about High School I think about two students that did not make it as far as we did....Scott Lancaster and Albert Baca. Even though they were not in our class... it felt like the whole school was in our class, because we were such a small high school. I just wish they could have enjoyed life a little longer...
Hobbies/Travels:
I'm a Colorado Girl true to the heart. I still ski on the weekends at Loveland Ski Area. My friends always want to go somewhere else, but some reason Loveland feels like home!
Awards/accomplishments:
Like everyone else I've had many..but the coolest one... was just this afternoon.... Kayla, my neice who is 7 years old... just called to tell me she loved me... she thinks I'm stupid or something... I think she thinks I forgot her B-day is tomorrow. :) Got to love the kids.....
Plans for the next 10 years:
Enjoy Life... We just bought a house in Maui and our plan is to be moved by this time next year. I think this is a great website for keeping in contact. I hope that they decide to keep it up and running. I would be willing to support it on my server....
Words of wisdom for the class of 1993:Never regret you did not get the chance, but rather regret you did not take the chance.

Thoughts and Experiences
What have you been up to in the last ten years?I lived in Durango for a year going to school at Fort Lewis. I moved back to Denver.I worked at a few different jobs and had a bunch crazy experiences. It has been worth it through because I have learned a lot. I have traveled around to various places in the U.S. and Mexico. I did go bungee jumping in Cancun that was pretty exciting I received my certification in travel I have been working with leisure and corporate travel the last 5 years. I am happily married and my stepson Kyle is getting ready to start Kindergarten.
Favorite high school teacher? Why?
Mrs.Naylor, she was always willing to listening. She was great leader in Model United Nations.I learned a lot from her from being in the club and in her class.

Most memorable moment from high school:

It would be when we got to go and perform at the preseason game for the Denver Broncos each season. All the schools around Colorado cheerleading and pom squads, would got to a camp and the Bronco cheeleaders would teach us dances and cheers that we would get to perform at half time all together with them leading us. We also did this for camp and cheer at half time for the Denver Nuggets.Especially, now that Mile High and McNichols are gone. Those are pretty cool memories to have.
Hobbies/Travels:
Traveling, spending time with friends and family, going and seeing movies or a band, doing things with my husband and Kyle and creating a lot of fun memories with them
Plans for the next 10 years:
We are plannning on having a baby in the next couple of years. I am planning on getting my degree at Metro in travel manangement. I hope to do a lot more traveling around the world.
Words of wisdom for the class of 1993:Cherish what you have in life the people you know and love because you never know when they may be gone. Make the most out of you life and fullfill your dreams. I wish all of you happiness.

Thoughts and Experiences
What have you been up to in the last ten years?School and work. I graduated from WSC in '97 and started working on my Master's degree in criminal justice at the University of Colorado at Denver in the fall of '97. I was hired as a cop in Arvada in Jan. of '98 and have been there ever since. It is an interesting job. I have had some experiences that I would just as soon forget, some unforgettable experiences and a few that were both, but overall it has been a tremendous learning experience.
Favorite high school teacher? Why?
All of them. I truly believe that I learned something from every teacher I had at Clear Creek (even the ones I didn't get along with).

Most memorable moment from high school:

WOW. . . I can't think of just one it was a very eventful 4 years.
Hobbies/Travels:
I certainly havn't seen the world but I try to go to Mexico and or Vegas a couple times a year. I would love to do more traveling though.
Awards/accomplishments:
I am a defensive tactics, ground fighting, and driving instructor at the police department. I also train new recruits as an FTO (field training officer) all the over time keeps me pretty busy.
Plans for the next 10 years:
I am not sure. I am possibly going to put in for a promotion to sergeant at the P.D. this winter and I have seriously been considering law school in the future, but who knows.
Words of wisdom for the class of 1993:No matter how bad you think things can get. . . they could be worse. Trust me on this one I see it everyday, just be thankful for what you've got.

Thoughts and Experiences
What have you been up to in the last ten years?A lot of work, in a number of places. Auburn, AL; Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL and Denver, CO. Built houses for about 5 years, then decided I didn't want to wear myself out by 30. Kept working at camps from time to time until I met my wife. Currently work keeps me travelling to NY, Chicago, Boston and St. Louis. Other than that golf.
Favorite high school teacher? Why?
Trudy Smith - Although I only knew her for two years, she was a great friend to all students and repected their rights and opinions. Also she was incredibly laid back and easy going.

Most memorable moment from high school:

Gradutation - that was the only part I cared a great deal about, I was ready to see something outside of Clear Creek County.
Hobbies/Travels:
I think I have been to about 39 states since 93', Canada a time or two. Mexico, nothing really amazing thus far.
Plans for the next 10 years:
Enjoy time with my family, wife, two newly adopted sisters from China, kids at some point and everyone in between.
Words of wisdom for the class of 1993:Enjoy!
